Aren’t we in the West all broad up fearing the East? And even when this ended and the cold war was over, in our minds James Bond still kept on fighting bad creepy Russian guys in black?
And things are changing, global powers shift, with Ukraine and Putin, our fear of this unknown and in our minds ‘uncivilised’ part of the world only grows…
With that feeling in mind I went looking for atmospheres like that. images that fear us, haunt us in our nightmares, or just give us a bad feeling, in our anti-eastern image.
Without seeing the beauty of the country and its’ people.
